ICICI Lombard Adds COVID-19 Cover in its Health Plans

In the wake of global Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, India’s General Health Insurance major the ICICI Lombard has decided to add 5 new features to include Covid-19 cover in its existing health plans. These features include a waiting period of just 15 days after which insurance buyers to be eligible for coverage for Covid-19 treatment.

The other features include provision for No Claim bonus for succeeding year, even if one avails coverage for Covid-19 treatment. This means that if a client does not make insurance claim for any treatment other than Covid-19 during the insurance period, he or she will be eligible to get increased Sum Insured in the form of No Claim Bonus in the succeeding year. In addition to hospitalization expenses, ICICI Lombard’s clients will also be eligible for coverage for medical expenses incurred during Covid-19 treatment received under medical supervision at home.

At present, these benefits are available for buyers of ICICI Lombard’s Complete Health Insurance and Health Booster plans.
