When people buy a brand-new car, one of their top concerns is safety. Manufacturers in India used to focus more on affordability and features of the vehicles. It is impossible for anything to stand a chance against the odds of life. Therefore, having a car that is safe to drive is beneficial to both people and brands.

During the past few years, automobile manufacturers have made significant investments in the development of car safety. Indian automakers are slowly catching up with global standards for safer vehicles. New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) tests determine the safety and security of a car.

Various parameters are used to evaluate the safety quotient of the vehicles during the NCAP safety test performed by Global NCAP (based in the UK). The test, for instance, measures the vehicle’s structural stability in comparison with other motor vehicles. NCAP ratings of 4-5 stars have been achieved by most recently manufactured cars in India. It is vital to consider a car that has the highest NCAP rating when you are looking at new vehicles.
